Accelerating Digital Inclusion with O3b mPOWER
Webinar Date: Thursday, June 30, 2022
Duration: 1 hour, 10:30 - 11:30 AM (GMT +8 Asia/Manila)

Connecting the unconnected in the Philippines
Join us in this webinar as we will highlight the challenges in providing reliable connectivity in the Philippines, and share the solutions that different satellite networks—operating in different orbits—can provide.
During the session, we will introduce you to O3b mPOWER, SES’s next-generation NGSO communications system in the medium earth orbit (MEO), delivering high-performance connectivity that can help accelerate digital inclusion and help connect the unconnected in the Philippines.

REIMAGINE SATELLITE NETWORKS
Network service usage in the Philippines is booming, creating a unique opportunity for operators to expand their services, launch new products, and, most importantly, enable digital inclusion in the country.
However, the adoption and deployment of advanced digital services, edge computing, artificial intelligence, data analytics, and other digital tools require an equally advanced communications network and IT infrastructure. This is especially true in the Philippines, where connecting customers and businesses in remote areas—or where geography makes communications infrastructure expensive to build—continues to be a challenge.
In this webinar, we will share:
- The common pain points and challenges faced by communications providers in achieving a truly connected nation.
- The connectivity options available to address these challenges.
- The difference between GEO, MEO, and LEO, as well as the satellite operators in the industry and their capabilities.
- The power of a Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) satellite constellation.
- Opportunities to collaborate and take advantage of the upcoming O3b mPOWER MEO constellation.
