Synopsis: The speed of change in the satellite industry is accelerating all the time. This presentation examines the different multi-orbit services (O3b mPower and GEO) and their use cases in the mining sector, few of which existed even a few years ago. It will look in detail at the advantages of the multi-orbit approach, the pros and cons of different orbits, and examine some likely future multi-orbit setups for different verticals.
Bio: Guido Neumann is President, AXESS EMEA and Chief Development Officer, AXESS Networks Solutions. His career in the satellite industry spans over 25 years, and includes co-founding CeTel in 2004, which merged with Latin America-based service provider

Bio: Adam Godwin is Head of Wholesale EMEA for Telstra. Based in London, he oversees Telstra’s wholesale business in EMEA, with responsibility for developing and driving the business strategy, as well as wholesale and OTT customer relationships. Adam has over 20 years’ experience in the telecoms industry, and has led the EMEA wholesale business to record large referenced deals with customers such as BT, Telia, BICS, Colt, KPN and GTT.

Bio: Olivier Gommes is Director of Technology and Innovation at the Marlink Group, responsible for the strategic direction of business development, the technology roadmap, and business alliances in the Enterprise, Energy & Government business unit. He has more than 25 years of experience in the global telecommunications industry, joining Marlink in 2008 as CTO and General Manager for its former subsidiary TDCOM. Previously he worked for 10 years at Orange Business Services in Paris, where he was responsible for Business & Network Management.

Katrin Bacic, CEO, UNIO
Bio: Katrin Bacic is CEO of the German space startup UNIO Enterprise, where she leads the development of Europe's first commercial satellite constellation, focusing on automotive and broader mobility applications. Previously, she was Managing Director and Head of Strategy at Wayra Germany, where she headed all startup programmes from 2018 to 2023. Prior to that she spent over 13 years in various management positions at Telefónica, primarily in business development and innovation.
